this is a lovely friendly baby group with plenty of toys to occupy the little ones
May 2010 kelly says:
Very friendly, warm and welcoming group with a large variety of toys. We attend on a monday and my son really enjoys it.
March 2010 Debbie says:
This group is great! Perfect if you just have 1 child under 1 years of age. No older kids running around, lovely toys suitable for their age and Ade often has guests coming in to talk to the mum's about various activities etc in the area. She also has a breastfeeding advisor who comes in too! If you have a baby under 1 this is the place to go!

What they said:
Most Outstanding Baby and Toddler Group
- WINNER: Brunton Babies in Tyne and Wear, wins £200 of products from Mini IQ
For this award our judges were looking for a baby and toddler group that strongly demonstrated all the aspects that a community group like this should have with particular support for parents within the local area.
"This new group is clearly a lifeline for new mums on this new housing estate. Being all about both children and the parents, Brunton Babies stood out as a strong contender for me because of the effort they go to ensure everyone feels welcome and included. With regular nights out planned for the parents and extra activities planned for the children, I believe Brunton Babies is fostering new friendships that will last a long time into the future."
"This group has become a central part of the community. We were very impressed by the efforts made to make everyone feel welcome and to organise a wide range of activities, including nights out. It is a valuable support to both children and adults alike and is a worthy winner."

Student Placements
Outstanding achievements for Broadening Horizons learners from Tynemetropolitan College.
03 July 2008
Each and every one of the learners on the Broadening Horizons course at TyneMet have achieved remarkable goals this year after completing their work placement.
Teacher Heidi Seager said, “Learners on this course always achieve and grow as individuals, especially while on work placement but this years’ group have excelled themselves, I am extremely proud of them all.”
Students have taken on a huge variety of placements in a wide range of work situations such as warehouses, toddler groups, day care services for the elderly, woodwork workshops and car and motor sales garages.
All have ‘broadened their horizons’ by showing commitment and dedication, improving their communications skills, growing in confidence, impressing the people they worked with so much they have been kept on, undertaking very complicated travel arrangements on public transport to get to their work place and undertaking harder and more complicated tasks as their placements went on.
It is very difficult to pick out individuals as the whole group did so well but some particular stars include … Amy Rudowski’s work at Brunton Park Toddlers has led to her communication skills improving and confidence levels going through the roof. As a result Amy is now attending the playgroup two mornings a week as a volunteer.
Tutors, Sue Cervantes and Heidi Seager highly commended all students for completing the course gaining OCR, ASDAN and NCFE certificates to complement their outstanding achievements in their work placements. Well done guys!
