| FAQ's Are you police checked? Yes, I hold a valid enhanced disclosure form, which is clear on all counts. Are you insured? Yes, the group is covered for Public Liability up to the value of £2million.The cover is provided by Morton Michel Insurance. Yes, I hold an up to date level 2 12 hour children and babies first aid certificate (Paediatric First Aid) as recommended by Ofsted as well as level 2 Award in Food Safety (Food Hygiene) Do you have a policy for carrying out fire drills? Yes, a fire drill is carried out once per term to comply with NAPI ( Newcastle Action for Parent and Toddler Groups Initiative ) recommendations. NAPI also assess the group regularly to ensure good Health and Safety procedures are in place. Are there toilet facilities? Yes, there are both male and female toilets plus a disabled toilet incorporating a baby changing station.( Please note however that there are no nappy disposal bins so we ask you to take any soiled nappies home.) Is there a waiting list and do I need to register? There is no waiting list at the moment for the Tuesday or Thursday sessions however both are very busy, so I would call first rather than just turning up on the day - just in case! You will need to register with the group which involves completing a short form during the session with your contact details - needed in case of an emergency. Just let me know it's your first time and I'll make sure you receive our welcome pack. Do you have facilities for heating baby food and bottles? Yes, the Community Centre has a well equipped kitchen with various appliances including a fridge - just ask if you need help.( Please note for health and safety reasons no children are allowed into the kitchen.) Are the toys safe for small children? Yes, all the toys are purchased through reputable companies and are suitable for children aged 0 - 5 years. They are regularly monitored for damage and are cleaned often. |
